The X48 is not just an upgraded turbo; it's a complete redesign from the ground up. Unlike the X37, which uses a stock shaft, the X48 incorporates a new core shaft and exhaust wheel package inspired by the 345bhp Mk7 X47R.
Over two years of development have culminated in the ultimate hybrid turbo for the Mk8 platform. Starting from the X37's stock-sized exhaust housing, we've evolved to a full-spec 8-blade CNC-machined larger exhaust housing and a bigger shaft. This advancement allows for up to 324bhp on fully modified cars or 310bhp on cars with fewer modifications, such as stock exhausts.
