Introducing the brand new Pumaspeed Competition uprated clutch kit range to suit the ST Mk3 Diesel Focus!
When tuning the 2.0 Duratorq found in the Mk3 generation of Focus ST Diesel, getting tonnes of extra power and torque has never been an issue for the guys at Pumaspeed and MAXD. However, getting the power delivered to both front wheels has sometimes been an issue with the stock clutch setup which is almost at it's limit at stage 2R levels of 250bhp and 520nm.
The Pumaspeed Competition uprated clutch kit range plugs a gap in the market for an affordable clutch solution which can cope with all the additional torque and power found in highly tuned cars over 250bhp, as tested in our own demo car.
This is also achieved without the crazy heavy pedal feel found in some competitor clutch setups, so whether your ST is a track day weapon, a weekend B-Road basher, or your daily driver, this clutch will suit your driving style perfectly.
Stage 2:
Our entry level unit offers a unique hybrid construction. Normally your clutch plate itself has two faces, which are pretty much identical in terms of material and construction.
However with this clutch kit, the flywheel side is an organic friction plate providing the OE pedal feel, and the gearbox side is a 8 puck cerametalic setup providing the additional strength to cope with all the additional torque you're ready to put through it!
Recommended use: Fast Road and Light Track (250bhp+)
